The vision for the future of the park is to:

Manage the park for conservation and environmental enhancement and allow recreation and other uses of the park to occur to the extent that they do not impair the conservation values of the park.

The City of Busselton is the management body for Meelup Regional Park, which is ‘A Class’ Reserve 12629, for the purpose of Conservation and Recreation. A formal Management Plan has been adopted by the Council and the Minister of Lands pursuant to section 49 of the Land Administration Act 1997.
